il-festa tal-grazzja
home is where the lights come on, the fireworks play and the band is in a frenzy. we are a people that love our opportunities to congregate and celebrate. this was in żabbar in september 2019, just before the pandemic intruded on the ways we spent our summers for years. the tal-grazzja feast is the last one of the season, and brings together specific traditions that characterise our village.
On the Sunday of the feast weekend, a bike ride pilgrimage in honour of Our Lady of Graces, the patron saint of cyclists, takes place from Rabat to Żabbar following the sacred image of the patron saint.
